Today I'm going to be reviewing the Julep Box, which I got this month. It's actually going to be two reviews, one on the introductory box and another on the July Box (I'll explain why I have the July Box when we get to that box). This Review may be long because I'm going to explain the program the best that I can and review two boxes. So please bear with me at the end I will link the video I made of this review, the box that I don't review on the video is the July Box.

Julep is a monthly subscription program where they send you nail care products. They have beauty product too, but their main products are nail polishes. Every month you receive three different products that consist mainly in nail polishes. Julep has the “4-free” nail polish formulations which are developed without carcinogens such as formaldehyde or formaldehyde resin, toluene and DBP. This is good because most of the nail polishes we buy have those ingredients.

-You can cancel at any time you just need to log in to your account to cancel your subscription.

-If you don't like that month's box or you don't have the money you can skip that month.  You just need to log in to your account between the 20th and the 24th.  They charge you and ship the 27th of every month.   They will send you an e-mail every 20th of every month showing you the box of that month.

-Another thing you can do is... Let's suppose that month is your friend's birthday and you want to buy her something nice. How about sending your Julep Box to her instead of you receiving it?! Left to Right Colors from the It Girl Intro Box: Blake, Claire and Morgan

Blake

Blake is a very pretty color, but like every pastel color difficult to paint your nails with. It took me a lot of time to acquire the look that I wanted, it got lots of streaks and sometimes it got weird but my personal experience with pastel colors is that they always do that. The best thing you can do is apply very thin coats and a base color like white.

Blake es un color muy bonito pero como cualquier esmalte de color pastel es difícil de pintar tus uñas. Me tomo mucho tiempo llegar al look deseado, habían partes donde el color se veía mas pálido que otro y algunas veces se quedaba como gomoso, no se como explicar. Pero en mi experiencia personal esto es normal en ese tipo de colores. Lo que puedes hacer es aplicar capas bien finitas y un color base como el blanco.







Claire





Claire is very pretty too. It's a bit darker than what the picture is showing and I love it. It's perfect for summer, but it can transition well into fall, is good for a pop of color for any outfit. Besides I never have rules about the nail polishes that I have to wear for every season. This color glides very well and no problems with it getting clumpy or anything like that. I applied two coats but with one is perfect too.

Claire es un color bien bonito es un poco mas oscuro de lo que se ve en la foto. Es perfecto para verano pero se puede ver bien en otoño para darle a cualquier 'outfit' un poco de color. Este color es muy fácil de usar para pintarse la unas no se pone gomoso o nada parecido. Aplique 2 capas de este color pero con una también se vería bien.



Morgan



I love Morgan is my favorite from the It girl box. I have like two colors similar to this one but for some reason I prefer Morgan. With one thin coat the color looks amazing and from the 3 colors this has the best application on your nails, it doesn't get clumpy or leaves streaks behind.

Me fascina Morgan es mi favorita de la caja 'It Girl'. Tengo dos colores parecidos a este pero por alguna razón prefiero a Morgan. Con una fina capa de este color se ve increíble y de los 3 colores este tiene la mejor aplicación. No se pone gomoso y no deja áreas imperfectas.

So for the reason I have the July box when i made my order on August.  This box was a separete purchase and in no way it affected the box that I was supposed to receive in August (I skipped this month becuase I bought the July one).  Julep gives you an option in your account where you can see the box of two past monts, in my case it was the August and July Box.  It shows you all the style profiles of those two months and you just buy the one you like best.  Ironically I chose the It Girl Box, which is already my style. 

The July box it was very beautifully packed it was my favorite of the two I received and they even included candy! So Cute!!

Kate

Sincerely, I hated Kate it was such a disappointment.  First of all it was the only one in the box that came damaged.  It was leaking even though it was sealed and it was half full because of that.  Plus it was very clumpy like an old nail polish.  I had to put some drop of polish thinner and it got better.  Kate would be a pretty white color, it seems like it has tinny little sparkles but when you put it on it looks like any other white nail polish.

Kate no me gusto para nada y fue el único de los esmaltes que vino dañado. Estaba goteando y por consecuencia estaba lleno a la mitad. Además estaba gomoso y espeso como si fuera un esmalte viejo tuve que ponerle unas gotitas de 'Polish thinner'(se utiliza para quitarle lo espeso). Kate pudo haber sido un esmalte muy bonito tiene como unos brillitos bien pequeñitos pero cuando te lo pones se ve como cualquier otro esmalte blanco.

Mila

 Mila is such a pretty glitter polish as a matter of fact I think julep makes some very nice glitter polishes which dry very well and in no time.  Mila is the kind of glitter nail polish that you need to wear with a base color, but it is really cool cause it has different color sprakles (you can't appreciate it in the pic, unfortunately).  I can imagine myself using this in many different ways.

Mila es un esmalte en brillo muy bonito y pienso que los esmaltes de brillo de Julep son buenos, los cuales secan súper rápido. Mila es el tipo de esmalte de brillo que lo tienes que usar con un color base pero esta muy 'cool' porque tiene brillos de diferentes colores (en la foto lamentablemente no lo puedes apreciar). Ya me veo yo usando este esmalte de diferentes formas.

Daphne

Don't let yourself get fooled by Daphne she may look like Claire in this photo but she isn't. Daphne has been fooling a lot of people on the Julep website which in their photos looks like a nice minty color. But it isn't, is actually like many reviews have described it, like a seaweed color. Kind of like a blue greenish, for some reason Daphne appears in photos like a blue or minty color. Sincerely, I like this color even though it isn't the minty color I expected. I think is because it's a weird color for me and it does apply very nicely.

No te dejes engañar por Daphne se podrá parecer a Claire en esta foto pero no lo es. Daphne ha estado engañando a mucha gente en la página de Julep porque en las fotos de ellos se ve como un color menta, pero en realidad no lo es, es mas como un color azul verdoso. Aunque no es el color que esperaba me encanta, es un color extraño y la aplicación es buena.

                                                               




America

 America is basically the same description as Mila, a nice glitter polish, but between Mila and America I prefer America. It is very bright and it doesn't need any base color you can use it alone is very pigmented and it only needs 2 coats, but if you want you can definitely use a base color. Oh, and something that America has that Mila doesn't, is little stars!

América básicamente tiene la misma descripción que Mila pero entre Mila y América, prefiero a América. Es un esmalte de brillo bien divertido, bien pigmentado y no necesita un color base, pero si quieres puedes usar un color base. Una cosa más, América a diferencia de Mila tiene pequeñas estrellas.

Julep offers a great subscription program and nice products. Yeah, there were some highs and lows, but there were more highs than low. Their subscription is amazing, they package their products in fun ways, they offer a variety of nail polishes, their subscription program is very flexible and their products are free of harmful ingredients.

Julep ofrece un gran programa de subscripción y unos buenos productos. Si, hubo altas y bajas, pero fueron altas que bajas. Su programa de subscripción es muy bueno, empacan sus productos de una forma bien bonita y divertida, te ofrecen una gran variedad de esmaltes, su programa de subscripción es bien flexible y sus productos están libres de ingredientes dañinos.
